The HP OfficeJet 200 is a mobile printer for people who need to do printing on the move. It’s compact size and portability make it firmly targeted at this specific market. It might also appeal to buyers looking for a space saving printer, perhaps if you live in a studio flat where space is an absolute premium.
The HP OfficeJet 200 comes with a number of connectivity upgrades over its predecessor and also offers more compared to current rivals.
Functionality

The size and weight of the OfficeJet 200 is very typical for the market, and is slightly lighter than the previous model. There are competitors that weigh less if that’s a critical factor. It comes with a 50 page paper feeder and is capable of manual duplex printing only.
Connectivity has got a decent upgrade, the HP includes USB and WiFi and also supports peer-to-peer connection with a computer or mobile device via Wi-Fi Direct. You can also print direct from iOS and Android devices (supporting AirPrint and Mopria Alliance). No USB cable is supplied.
Note that if you might need scanning or copying functionality on the go there is the OfficeJet 250 that can provide this.
Print Quality

HP claim a print speed of 10ppm for plain text and real world tests show that this pretty much holds up. The first page will pop out in just over ten seconds which isn’t bad at all. Note that print speed drops a little when switching to battery power, but not so much that you would really notice. You can expect a 4 x 6 colour photo to take around forty seconds to print.
Overall print quality is good for an inkjet according to professional reviewers, despite being a portable printer the output is better than average. Text comes out very well and graphics would easily be good enough for a PowerPoint handout.
Mobile printers typically have slightly higher running costs but on the plus side the high capacity cartridges should last a decent amount of time which is a plus point if you are on the move. The black cartridge should go for 600 pages with the colour expected to do around 400.
