The Samsung Xpress M2026W is a compact home laser printer designed with a small footprint in mind. It’s compact size makes a good choice of placing on your desk in your home office. The sub £100 market is a crowded space and all the big players will have an offering to compete for your cash but fortunately Samsung are no strangers to the space and the SL-M2026W has a lot to offer for its price.
Functionality

The M2026W is a compact laser printer with a small footprint, whilst open up and ready for printing or when closed. Setting it up is not difficult, you’ll have to remove the usual packing material; the blue tape, polystyrene packing pieces, and don’t forget the orange plastic lock on the toner cartridge! You should be up and printing in less than 10 minutes.
It has good connectivity with both USB and wireless connection options as you would expect in a modern printer. Setup via USB is plug and play with Windows 10, you should have no problems getting it going and should work fine with Apple systems too. Wireless connectivity requires some software install and a prompt for a password on the printer, some owners have had problems getting this working.
Print Quality

Owners of the M2026W report that it provides a great speed upgrade when compared to inkjet models, Samsung quote it at being able to output around twenty pages per minute which is largely thanks to being equipped with a 400 MHz processor and 64 MB memory. Owners also highlight the even coverage and sharp text.
The toner cartridges are supposedly good for about 1000 pages, a quick look at current processes and you’re talking approx 4p per print. If you are looking at buying your first ever laser printer then you’ll be impressed by the fast start up time and no longer have to clean nozzles and replace dried up ink cartridges.

I bought a colour cartridge for this printer and it comes out black and white – why?
Having trouble replacing the toner cartridge, I took the old one out and tried to insert a new one but it does not seem to go in far enough as the cover will not close. I can not even get the old toner back in! Any idea what I am doing wrong?
Must be something out of place, did you try contacting Samsung support?
